Huma Qureshi was born on 28th of July 1986 in a rich muslim family of Delhi. Her restaurateur father owns a chain of ten restaurants famous as Saleem’s in capital city Delhi. Her two years younger brother Saqib Saleem is also a Bollywood actor who made his acting debut in YRF banner’s rom-com Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge.

Before entering in Indian film industry Huma Qureshi brushed up her acting skills with professional theaters of Delhi and worked with some good theatre directors such as Aamir Raza Hussain, Rahul Pulkeshi, Sohaila Kapur and N. K. Sharma of Act One Group of Delhi. It shows that how much serious and concerned she was for her acting career.

But destiny had some better things for her and as that movie got delayed she had to opt out from Billa II because of her prior commitments.

    Gangs Of Wasseypur Part 1 is a crime thriller based on some real life characters. Anurag Kashyap is the director of the film and it stars Manoj Bajpai, Nawazuddin Siddqui, Richa Chaddha, Huma Qureshi and Piyush Mishra with an ensemble cast. When Anurag was working with Huma for an ad film he promised to cast her in his next movie which he fulfilled through Gangs Of Wasseypur.Huma Qureshi essayed the role of a small town Muslim girl called Mohsina  from the 90’s. Though Mohsina is a small town girl but she is very confident and bold.     is a film directed by Anurag Kashyap in 2012 and sequel to his earlier released movie Gangs of Wasseypur Part 1. The GOW Part 2 starts from where the predecessor ends. After the death of Sardar Khan (Manoj Bajpai) and his elder son his younger son Faisal Khan (Nawazuddin Siddqui) takes revenge and becomes the most powerful man of Wasseypur. He Marries Mohsina (Huma Qureshi), his love interest. Mohsina likes to taunt and tease him but always supports him when he feels low by singing his favorite song ‘Frustiyaao Nahi Moora“.
