Bollywood playback singer Mahalakshmi Iyer (also Mahalaxmi Iyer) was hailed in a South Indian musical family. Her mother Vijaya is a well trained Carnatic classical singer and all her 3 elder sisters are good singer. Mahalakshmi started taking lessons of Indian classical music when she was just ten.
