Indian actor and Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, also known as Khiladi Kumar, is famous for his action and comedy films. His action movies earned him title of Indian Jackie Chan. In 1990, he started his career with low budget B grade movies, now delivering high grossing blockbuster films one after one.
Akshay’s Rowdy Rathore, remake of a south movie, and Housefull 2, both films did extremely well on box office and put him in A list of Bollywood Actors such as Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan, Hritik Roshan, and Ranbir Kapoor and made his entry in 100 crore movie club of Bollywood.
44 years old Akshay Kumar was born on 9th September, 1967, with birth name Rajiv Hari Om Bhatia, to Aruna Bhatia and Hari Om Bhatia at Amritsar. His passion for martial arts took him to Bangkok, where he learned combat sport ‘Muay Thai’. During this period, he worked as a waiter and chef. After learning this Thai form of martial art, Akshay Kumar came back to Mumbai and worked as a model for several months. He was lucky as producer Pramod Chakravarthy offered him lead role in movie Deedar, but his first released film was 1991 movie Saugandh.
After superhit action films such as Mohra, and Main Khiladi Tu Anari, punjabi lad Akshay Kumar signed a romantic movie ‘Yeh Dillagi’ for Yash Chopra, which was a big hit. His most appreciated comedy film is Hera Pheri, in which he was starred with Paresh Rawal and Suniel Shetty.

Umesh Shukla is the director of the movie. In OMG, actress Sonakshi Sinha has performed an item song called Go Govinda, along with Prabhu Deva.

Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha starrer Joker is director Shirish Kunder’s fantasy adventure movie. Before this Sonakshi was paired opposite Akshay Kumar in Rowdy Rathore. Joker has an ensemble cast including Shreyas Talpade, Minisha Lamba, Vindu Dara Singh, Asrani, Javed jaffrey, Pitobash, Sanjai Mishra, Gurpreet Ghuggi and Farah Khan (Guest Appearance).
