Story of Aiyyaa (Rani Mukerji starrer new rom-com)
Aiyya is a rom-com which mainly revolves around Meenakshi Deshpande (Rani Mukerji) and depicts her story. Meenakshi has an eccentric family, her father is a simple person but mother is just opposite of him as she is very funny and loud. Meenakshi’s grandmother is also there to add some more fun stuff in the movie.
Deshpande family is worried about the marriage of Meenakshi as she has grown up and they are hunting for a suitable groom for her. Meenakshi is full of dreams and always lost in her dream-like Bollywood fantasy world.
She gets a job at city art college where she meets many guys on her groom-hunt mission. Finally she falls in love with a Tamil art student Surya (played by Prithviraj). She finds him attractive as he smells good. Meenakshi’s family doesn’t want to accept Surya as her groom because of his Tamil culture.
